MetroNews Channel to stream Fairmont State-West Liberty Tonight

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — On Thursday night, Feb. 4, the MetroNews Channel will live video stream a game between two nationally ranked mens basketball teams from the Mountain East Conference.

Fairmont State (19-1, 13-1) will host No. 6 West Liberty (18-2, 12-2) at the Feaster Center in Fairmont.

Airtime on the MetroNews Channel is 7:30 pm. Travis Jones, Warren Baker and Brad Howe will call the game.

MetroNews Sportsline will also originate from the game. Kyle Wiggs will provide play-by-play along the MetroNews radio network as well.

The video stream on the MetroNews Channel is sponsored by Fairmont State University, Valley Distributing, and Wheeling Hospital.

The Falcons, coached by Jarrod Calhoun, are 19-1 and ranked second in the national Division II poll. The Falcons’ only loss of the season was against West Liberty 88-86 on December 5, 2015. Junior Matt Bingaya leads the Falcons in scoring at 20.1 per game. He scored 18 against the Hilltoppers earlier this season.

West Liberty is 18-2 and ranked eighth in this week’s Division II poll. The Hilltoppers’, coached by veteran Jim Cruthfield, lone blemishes came in back-to-back road losses to Concord and Wheeling Jesuit in mid-January. High-scoring WLU is averaging 102.1 points a game led by Seger Bonifant with 23.6.
