Woman killed in Raleigh County fire

COOL RIDGE, W.Va. — A woman was killed in a house fire early Tuesday morning in Raleigh County.

The blaze occurred at a residence located at 165 Rainbow Lane in the community of Cool Ridge south of Beaver.

The fire was reported at just before 4 a.m., according to Raleigh County emergency dispatchers.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the blaze. The office said the fire death was the 13th fire-related death in the state since Jan. 1.

Fire crews from Beaver, Ghent and Coal City were on the scene.
