Police find Harrison County man illegally possessing hundreds of prescription pain killers

WHEELING, W.Va. — A Harrison County resident was arrested over the weekend in Wheeling after police said they found hundreds of pills and a large amount of cash in his possession.

Suhip E. Ebrahim, 26, of Bridgeport, was allegedly discovered by officers from the Ohio Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Marshall County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, both HIDTA-funded initiatives, with nearly 600 oxycodone pills and around $100,000 in United States currency.

He is now named in a federal criminal compliant charging him with Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone.

Following his arrest, Ebrahim made an initial appearance in federal court Saturday before U.S. Magistrate Judge James E. Seibert and is currently being held without bond.

Two other defendants were also arrested Saturday on similar charges and will processed through the state court.
