Fayette deputies investigate early morning robbery

MOSSY, W.Va. — Police in Fayette County are looking for a man and woman in connection with a Wednesday morning convenience store robbery.

The man walked into the T&C Midway Exxon station in Mossy at about 4:30 a.m. He said he had a gun and demanded money, investigators said.

The clerk didn’t see a gun and refused to open the register. The man then grabbed a container of lottery tickets and took off. There was a woman waiting outside in a car, Fayette County deputies said. It’s believed she was in the store just before the robbery.

The man had large gauges in both ear lobes, deputies said. The woman had dark hair.

Police believe the suspects are from the Pax area.
