Driver and passenger identified in fatal accident on I-79

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – State police have identified both victims in a Sunday accident on Interstate 79 near the West Virginia – Pennsylvania state line.

Monday afternoon, Rachel Doty, 21 of Waynesburg, PA, was being treated for her injuries at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Both Doty and Jessy D. Dulaney were ejected from a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo after it rolled multiple times from the interstate’s north bound lanes into the south bound lanes.

Dulaney, 22 of Carmichaels, PA, died from injuries received in the wreck.

According to Trooper C. M. Griffith, Dulaney was driving at the time of the crash. He was attempting to pass a car in the right, north bound lane. But, when he steered from the left lane back into the right lane, his car clipped the vehicle he was passing causing the Monte Carlo to spin out of control.
