Murray Energy chief holds fundraising event for Cruz

WHEELING, W.Va. — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was expected to be in Wheeling late Wednesday afternoon for a fundraiser being held by Murray Energy CEO Bob Murray.

The private event will be at Wheeling Park’s White Palace at 4 p.m. About 450 people are expected to attend.

He won over fellow GOP candidate Donald Trump in Wisconsin on Tuesday night. Murray said he wants to help Cruz’s campaign, but has not given Cruz an official endorsement yet.
