One person flown to hospital after Bridgeport fire

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – One person was flown to the hospital as a result of a Friday afternoon fire in Harrison County.

According to Harrison County Emergency Services, the fire was reported at Crestview Terrace apartments in Bridgeport at 1:10 p.m.

Seven fire departments responded to the scene along with Bridgeport police and two EMS units.

Flames were showing when firefighters arrived.

Investigators with the state Fire Marshal’s Office were on the scene Friday evening.

Among those on the scene were Bridgeport, Nutterfort, Shinnston, Spelter, Flemington, Stonewood and Anmoore firefighters and Harrison County and Flemington EMS.
