Fairmont doctor accused of trading pills for sex

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Search warrants were being executed Thursday afternoon in a Fairmont investigation that accuses a doctor of trading prescriptions for sex.

Detectives have been following accusations against Dr. Eugenio Menez, 65, since 2011.

Thursday, they reportedly found enough evidence to arrest Menez who is facing at least 16 counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

At least 3 victims told police Menez provided oxycodone and fentanyl prescriptions in exchange for sex.

Investigators say there may be more victims in the case.

Fairmont city and federal officers continue the investigation gathering evidence at both Menez’s Fairmont home and a doctor’s office off of Route 19 in Fairmont.
