LASHMEET, W.Va. — A woman is dead and another in custody after a stabbing incident at a home in Mercer County.
“We were dispatched to a residence on Reese Harmon Ridge in Lashmeet in reference to a stabbing,” said First Sargent R.A.Maddy of the West Virginia State Police. “Troopers arrived and found a female stabbing victim. She was transported to Princeton Community Hospital where she later died of stab wounds.”
Troopers quickly arrested Frances Glover, 39 and charged her with second degree murder.
Investigators believe they know the motive for the stabbing, but are not releasing it at this time. They’ve also withheld the name of the victim pending notification of relatives.
Maddy indicated the victim and Glover knew one another, but it was not a domestic incident and Glover did not live at the home.
