Harrison County man receives decades in prison for federal child pornography crimes

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A total of 20 years in prison is the sentence for a Harrison County man previously convicted on federal child pornography charges.

Christopher Anthony Castillo, 32, of Clarksburg, was sentenced Monday to 240 months in prison after he admitted to receiving and distributing child pornography, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced.

He repeatedly received and distributed a variety of sexually explicit images depicting minor victims and guilty in November 2015 to one count of Receipt and Distribution of Child Pornography.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the West Virginia State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Clarksburg, West Virginia Police Department investigated.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Vogrin prosecuted the case on behalf of the government, while U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
