Drug sweep nets 12 arrests in Upshur County

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — A drug sweep in Upshur County resulted in 22 charges being filed against a number of individuals.

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Department began the operation Friday at the Valley Green Apartments in Buckhannon with five search warrants being executed.

As a result, 10 people were arrested for Delivery of Methamphetamine.

One other search warrant was conducted in the county and two others were arrested for Delivery of Methamphetamine and Prescription pills, according to Chief Deputy Michael Kelly.

All individuals were arraigned and bonds were at $75,000 each by Magistrate John Coffman.
