Early morning accident on I-70 kills woman in Ohio County

WHEELING, W.Va. — An early morning accident along I-70 westbound in Ohio County killed a woman while she was standing outside her vehicle, according to State Police.

According to officials, a woman was struck and killed by a Pennsylvania man traveling to work while she was pulled over in the passing lane.

Sheriff’s deputies say the woman appeared to have a flat tire, possibly from a prior accident.

The driver has not been cited and the incident remains under investigation. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
