Two Harrison County residents sentenced on federal drug crimes

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Two Clarksburg residents were sentenced Tuesday for selling cocaine and prescription drugs near local playgrounds.

Davina Bland, 22, of Clarksburg, received 33 months in prison after pleading guilty in September 2015 to one count of Distribution of Cocaine Base within 1,000 feet of a Protected Location.

She was arrested after selling cocaine near Clarksburg City Park — Monticello Avenue Playground.

Tyler Shay Romine, 24, of Clarksburg, sold buprenorphine near Clarksburg City Park — Stealy Park and pled guilty in September 2015 to one count of Distribution of Buprenorphine within 1,000 feet of a Protected Location.

He was sentenced Tuesday to 15 months in prison.

The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Montoro and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the cases on behalf of the government.

U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
