MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Maryland man was found guilty by a federal jury Wednesday of selling selling heroin that resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man.
Lateef Fisher, 38, of Hagerstown, Md., also known as “Apple,” conspired with another person to sell heroin in June 2014 in Berkeley County which killed the man.
“Heroin has taken the lives of far too many people,” said U.S. Attorney Ihlenfeld. “We will continue to be aggressive in our pursuit of those who sell heroin, especially when it results in the death of another.”
The trial lasted two days. Fisher faces a minimum of 20 years to life in federal prison.
