SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A South Charleston man is behind bars charged with a domestic incident early Thursday morning. Nicholas Murad, 21, of South Charleston is facing one count of wanton endangerment.
South Charleston Police arrested Murad after receiving a call about shots fired in the normally quiet
residential neighborhood on Forest Circle Drive in South Charleston about 1 a.m. The criminal complaint states Murad’s ex-girlfriend told police he pulled up in front of her house and began to honk his horn and rev the engine of his vehicle. The fiance of the ex-girlfriend came outside to confront him and police say Murad fired five or six shots and sped away.
After police arrived on the scene, 911 received a call from Murad stating he had been assaulted and his windows broken out by a man with a shotgun and he wished to speak to authorities. He was arrested several streets over. Police found shell casings at the scene and another on a side street.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
