Kanawha bar sustains heavy damage in Monday fire

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. — Flames ripped through a Kanawha County bar Monday morning.

Several fire crews were on the scene to battle the blaze at Raw II bar on Route 21, Sissonville Drive, near the intersection with Wolf Pen Drive.

The call came in to Metro 911 dispatchers at a few minutes before 5 a.m. When fire crews arrived on the scene they found the building full of flames and heavy smoke.

There were no injuries and no initial word on what may have started the fire.
