After 47 years, Meadow Bridge football coach McClintic retires

MEADOW BRIDGE, W.Va. — Longtime Meadow Bridge High School football coach Larry McClintic has stepped down.

The 71 year old spent 47 years with the Wildcats, putting together a 288-200 overall record. The 288 career wins stand as the most all-time in West Virginia high school football as he recently surpassed former Musselman coach Denny Price.

McClintic’s teams made the playoffs 17 times during his tenure, winning the 1988 Class A state championship. He was inducted into the West Virginia Coaches athletic hall of fame in 2015.
