Local police in Nicholas County bust two in controlled drug buy

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. — Authorities in Nicholas County arrested two people at a hotel in Summersville following a controlled drug buy involving two ounces of heroin and one ounce of cocaine.

Members of the Summersville Police Department SWAT team arrested Starr Ramos, 33, and Rashard Jones, 25, both from Kannapolis, North Carolina, without incident. Police seized the drugs and several thousand dollars in cash.

The two suspects face charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine and transporting narcotics across state lines.

Both are in Central Regional Jail on $200,000 bond.
