Thornburg, Harmon join WVACA Hall of Fame

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The 2016 West Virginia Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame class includes a former head football coach and longtime athletic official.

Jim Thornburg, former head football coach at Buffalo-Wayne, Barboursville, and Cabell Midland high schools, and longtime athletic official and contributor Don Harmon will make up the ninth group of former coaches, athletes and contributors to be inducted by the coaches association.

Enshrinement ceremonies will take place at West Virginia State University on Saturday, June 18 at 1:45 p.m. Thornburg and Harmon will also be honored prior to the North-South Football Classic at 7 p.m. that evening at Laidley Field in Charleston.
