1 charged in murder of Jackson County man

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio — A Jackson County man remained behind bars at the North Central Regional Jail on a murder charge Tuesday after being arrested Monday in Wood County.

Christopher Dailey, 44

Christopher Dailey, 44, of Sandyville, was charged with the shooting death of Brandon Lupardus, 30, of Millwood.

Few details about the circumstances surrounding Lupardus’ death were available early Tuesday afternoon.

The body of Lupardus was found Sunday afternoon in a gravel pit in Meigs County, Ohio.

The site in Portland, Ohio is not far from the Ohio River.

Several other people were being questioned in connection with the death of Lupardus, according to authorities in Meigs County.
