CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A charged atmosphere ushering in a cold front created stormy conditions over much of the Mountain State Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather issued a number of storm watches and warnings. There was a tornado warning in effect for parts of Cabell, Mason, Lincoln, Putnam and Kanawha counties for a period of time around 2 p.m.
The tornado warning was Doppler Radar indicated and there intially were no reports of a tornado sighting.
The storms were expected to continue firing up through the evening hours Tuesday.
