Bell, 37, was charged with sexual abuse by a person of trust, possession of child pornography and displaying obscene material to a minor, and was released after after a magistrate set bond at $45,000.

He made a statement on Tuesday where he said he will be addressing the allegations in court, and he is removing himself from the County Commission in order to not impact their work with the citizens of Jefferson County.

Bell also mentioned in his statement that he will not be making any further comments at this time.
