Man killed after being pinned under vehicle

AUGUSTA, W.Va. — A Hampshire County man died Saturday after being pinned underneath a vehicle, sheriff’s deputies said.

William Nicolas, III, 62, of Augusta, was caught underneath a car in the Brill Lane area. He had apparently jacked it up and the jack failed, police said.

Nicolas was pronounced dead at the scene.
