Victim of fatal rollover crash on I-79 in Elkview identified

ELKVIEW, W.Va. — The victim of a fatal rollover crash on I-79 in Kanawha County late Tuesday night was identified Wednesday as 44-year-old Jimmy Gross of Sutton.

Gross was traveling south when he lost control of his pickup truck, veered off the road and rolled the truck several times.

Police say Gross was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and was ejected as the vehicle rolled.

The crash is still under investigation by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
