Tomblin names Jessica Tice new administration communications director

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin appointed Jessica Tice as his new administration communications director Thursday.

Tice takes over for Chris Stadelman, who was named chief of staff last week.

“Jessica is extremely talented with an impressive background, and she will be a real asset to our senior leadership team,” Tomblin said in a statement.

A Preston County native, Tice has worked in state and federal government communications roles for 13 years, previously serving as acting communications director, deputy state director and state press secretary for U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller.
