Man arrested after woman reportedly struck and killed along Rt. 50

REYNOLDSVILLE, W.Va. — The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on DUI charges after an auto pedestrian accident on Rt. 50 resulted in a 19-year-old woman’s death early Monday morning.

Police responded to the accident shortly before 4 am Monday morning on Rt. 50 west bound between Fire Access Road and Sun Valley Road.

The woman had apparently pulled over and exited her vehicle when she was struck by a pick-up truck.

The victim’s name has not yet been released. The man arrested on DUI charges is also unknown at this time and will likely not face arraignment until Tuesday because of the holiday weekend.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
