Logan County state trooper hit Saturday evening by drunk driver

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. — A Logan County State Trooper was hit Saturday night by a drunk driver in Mud Fork.

The trooper was not seriously hurt, but both cars had to be towed away from the scene, said WV State Police.

Paul Aleshire, 54 of Holden, West Virginia was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to maintain control, and possession of a controlled substance.

Aleshire was being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
