Drowning victim found in Tug River

GILBERT, W.Va. — The body of a Logan County man missing since Wednesday was recovered in the Tug River in Mingo County Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Roy Toler, Jr., 46, and a couple of friends had waded across the river to the Kentucky side to dig roots. A storm came and they attempted to wade back across the river. Two of them made it but Toler did not.

The body was found not far from where Toler entered the river.
