Man hospitalized following Bluefield shooting

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — A man was in stable condition at a Charleston hospital Saturday after being shot in the side during an exchange of gunfire in Bluefield Friday evening, police said.

Adrias Jackson was shot once during the dispute near the intersection of Bland Street and Ellis Street.

A man identified as Euneked Diaz, 22, of Princeton, turned himself in to police Friday and was named in gun and drug charges but police don’t believe it was Diaz who shot Jackson. They are looking for several other suspects and apparently had a lead Saturday morning.

Bluefield police impounded two vehicles Friday night for processing.
