Mercer County man dies in motorcycle crash Tuesday morning

BRUSHFORK, W.Va. — A Mercer County man was killed Tuesday morning after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing.

Benjamin David Farmer, 21, of Brushfork, was traveling eastbound on Brushfork Road near Victory Lane when the crash occurred, according to a press release from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Farmer was declared deceased on the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing to see if alcohol played a role in the crash, which happened shortly after 6 a.m.
