Berkeley County shooting deaths under investigation

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Police in Berkeley County were not ruling out Saturday the possibility that the shooting deaths of two men about 12 hours apart Thursday and Friday may somehow be connected.

At about 11 p.m. Thursday, Martinsburg police found the body of a 22-year-old man on East Stephen Street. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

The second body, a 23-year-old man, was found at around 10 a.m. Friday by Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies who were investigating a shots fired call near L&H Storage on Shepherdstown Road.

The names of the victims have not been released. Police haven’t released much information about their ongoing investigations.
