Virginia man charged in Morgantown sexual assault investigation

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown police arrested a Virginia man on sexual assault charges Sunday morning.

At approximately 4:58 a.m., the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a Sexual Assault that occurred on Beechurst Avenue.

The victim and witnesses told police the man left the scene and then returned and threatened them with a knife.

Officers arrested Alexander Russell Morrow, 24 Bristow, Va. for second degree sexual assault.

Morrow was taken into custody at a Beechurst Ave. residence near the victim’s residence. A knife was recovered during the investigation.

The suspect was held on $100,000.00 bond.
