PHILIPPI, W.Va. — A resident of New York City is in custody on charges of dealing drugs in Barbour County which may be the cause of multiple overdoses at Alderson Broaddus University.
Jordan Bogle, 19, of Bronx, New York is charged with possession with intent to deliver according to the Barbour County Sheriff’s Departments. Deputies say Bogle was caught with Molly, Ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana, Xanax, and a large amount of cash Thursday morning.
The biggest concern was Xanax bars which deputies say he admitted to selling to friends Wednesday night. Four individuals overdosed on the campus late Wednesday into Thursday morning. The victims were three males and one female student. Deputies believe the bars were tied to all four overdose cases.
Bogle, a sophomore at A-B, was a member of the school’s lacrosse team in 2015-16, but is not a member of this year’s team according to the team’s website.
He remains lodged in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
