Kanawha Scales and Systems acquires Wheeling-based OV Scale

POCA, W.Va. — Kanawha Scales and Systems announced Monday it will take over operations of Wheeling-based OV Scale & Instruments Company.

KSS, based out of Poca, currently operates 11 facilities in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Alabama. The company is a leading provider of measurement, control and data management products and services.

The details of the agreement were no released.

The acquisition means that KSS’ workforce and annual revenues will grown by about 10 percent, according to Jim Bradbury, CEO of KSS.

KSS now employs more than 200 people with the addition of OV Scale’s existing staff.
