Walk-on receiver makes ‘SportsCenter’ highlight grab

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Walk-on receiver Druw Bowen probably won’t make West Virginia’s travel squad for Saturday’s game against BYU, but he likely delivered the highlight of the week nonetheless.

His one-handed touchdown catch during practice made the ESPN “SportsCenter” top 10:

Spectacular as that grab was, head coach Dana Holgorsen told his weekly radio audience Thursday night that Bowen’s preceding catch — another one-hander that wasn’t filmed — looked even better.

Bowen is no stranger to touchdowns: He caught 14 of them for George Washington High last season.
