ELKINS, W.Va. — A Randolph County Circuit Court Jury found Theodore Yeager Newlon, 86, of Gilman, guilty of first degree murder in the 2012 shooting death of his wife.
The jury deliberated less than two hours before determining that Theodore Newlon was guilty in the slaying of Dora Newlon, 68, in February 2012.
The jury recommended mercy for the 86-year-old Newlon, which would make him eligible for parole after fifteen years of serving the life sentence.
A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled.
