1 hurt in Morgantown shooting

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One person was recovering Sunday morning after being shot in the early morning hours in Downtown Morgantown.

Morgantown Police said shots were fired around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 at Mainstage Bar, located at 444 Chestnut Street.

A victim with a gunshot wound to the torso was found in a parking lot next to the bar, according to investigators.

The male victim, who was not being identified publicly as of late Sunday morning, was being treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

His condition was not immediately available.

Potential witnesses were questioned at the scene and detectives were reviewing video connected to the shooting, Morgantown Police said.
