Man killed in Wayne County crash

KENOVA, W.Va — A Wayne County man died in a truck crash Saturday night near Kenova, police said.

Eric Freeman, 48, of Kenova, lost control of the vehicle near on state Route 75 near Nana Lane at around 10 p.m. It crashed into a natural gas meter and took down a utility pole, state police said.

Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said speed was a factor.
