1 dead in Mingo County fire

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — An elderly woman was killed in a house fire in Mingo County Thursday morning, authorities said.

The blaze was reported at just after 7 a.m. at a residence in the 600 block of Wilson Street in Williamson.

Investigators with the state Fire Marshal’s Office were on the scene Thursday morning.
