Man killed in Logan County shooting

PECKS MILL, W.Va. — State police in Logan County say a man was shot in killed after an alleged home invasion early Sunday morning.

It happened at around 4 a.m. Sunday at a home on Stable Branch Road in Pecks Mill.

Authorities said the homeowner shot and killed a man he says was breaking in. John Ellis, 49, of Pecks Mill, was killed.

The shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been made and no charged have been filed at this time.
