SHENANDOAH, JUNCTION, W.Va. — Jefferson defeated Fairmont Senior 35-24 in Week 8 of the high school football season.
The Cougars (4-3) were led by quarterback Isaac Myers who rushed for 192 yards and threw for three touchdown passes.
Jefferson led 21-17 at the break and held Fairmont Senior (6-1) to -4 rushing yards in the second half.
“They were playing a 3-4 defensively and we just wanted to run the ball,” Myers said. “We had the running game going and that’s how we were able to win. In halftime we wanted to keep the momentum going and keep the train going. The defense did a great job and set up the offense very well.”
