Kanawha County man released from hospital, charged with murdering daughter

MINK SHOALS, W.Va. — An elderly man accused of shooting his daughter to death earlier this month in Mink Shoals has been charged with murder.

William Stuck, 92, was released from CAMC General Hospital Monday after suffering from a gun shot wound. He was then taken to Kanawha County Magistrate Court Monday night to be arraigned on the murder charge.

Investigators said Stuck called his daughter a traitor than shot her. Sandra Nichols, 68, died on Oct. 6. Stuck is accused of then shooting himself.

Nichols’ body was found in the kitchen inside a home on Larwood Drive in Mink Shoals.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
