BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will make three campaign stops Friday with Republican gubernatorial nominee, state Senate President Bill Cole.
The two are scheduled to be in Bluefield, Charleston and Morgantown.
Walker was one of the many Republican candidates for president earlier this year. He has had high-profile battles with labor in his state. He successfully led the effort to have ‘right to work’ legislation passed. West Virginia labor groups are expected to appear at the West Virginia events Friday in protest.
Cole’s campaign says the rallies will focus on “the best approach to growing West Virginia’s economy and getting our workers back to work.”
The rallies with Walker come a day before a ‘working family’ rally in Huntington. Those labor and Democratic-backed rallies will continue in Elkins Sunday and then in Charleston and Morgantown the weekend before the Nov. 8 General Election.
