Charges filed after death of Fayette County bar fight victim

FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — Two men were arraigned on murder charges Wednesday afternoon in Fayette County Magistrate Court following the death of a man critically injured in a bar fight early Saturday morning in Montgomery.

George Brockman, Jr. and Cedric Coping turned themselves in to Montgomery police following Tuesday’s death of Luis Jackson.

Police found Jackson unresponsive on the floor of the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Ferry Street. Jackson died after being taken off life support.

There’s been no word from police on what started the fight.

Brockman and Coping were arraigned on the charges in Fayetteville. They are being held without bail.
