Two injured in crash involving Bridgeport police cruiser

BRUSHY FORK, W.Va. — Two people believed to be either Bridgeport police officers or volunteer law enforcement were injured in a Thursday morning crash in Harrison County.

The on-duty supervisor at Harrison/Taylor 911 confirmed two patients were transported to hospitals after the cruiser went off the road and struck a tree.

One person was flown from the regional airport by Healthnet to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Another passenger was taken by ambulance to United Hospital Center.

There was no report on what caused the accident, which occurred around 9:40 a.m.
