Fayette double fatal fire ruled arson

VICTOR, W.Va. — Investigators with the state Fire Marshal’s Office say someone intentionally set fire to a Fayette County residence Monday morning claiming two lives.

The fire on Willis Branch Road in Victor was ruled arson Monday evening following a full day of investigation at the fire scene.

The victims were found inside the burned out residence, authorities said.  Their names have not been released. Their bodies were sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies.

The fire marshal’s office is offering a $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and convictions of those responsible.
