Chapman admitted to State Police he killed Kayla Adkins, 26, on Nov. 1.

Adkins’ body was found two days later on Nov. 3 hidden in the woods along Hickory Ridge Road near Salt Rock. Her car was located the same day near the intersection of that road and Route 10.

It’s unclear how Adkins was killed, but investigators said the suspect and victim are friends. They believe Chapman acted alone.

Chapman’s preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
