Information sought about death of man whose body was found in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, W.Va. — State Police are seeking information about the death of a man whose body was recovered from the Dolly Sods Wildness Area in Grant County.

The man has been identified as Ivan Dickason Perlis, according to State Police troopers from the Moorefield and Petersburg detachment, but many questions remain about the circumstances surrounding his death.

Perlis’ body was located on Saturday and sent to the West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
