Police searching for missing Fayette County woman

HILLTOP, W.Va. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a local woman who hasn’t been seen since Monday, December 5.

According to Sheriff-Elect Mike Fridley, Georgia Malinda Stone, 56, was last seen at her residence at 830 Sanger Road in the Hilltop area of Fayette County at 8:15 on the morning of December 5.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red sweatshirt.

She is approximately 5’2” and between 130 and 140 pounds, has blue eyes and brown hair, and wears eye glasses.

According to Fridley, preliminary investigative work indicates she may be dealing with “some type of emotional crisis.” She left her home without her cell phone.

Stone is originally from Nicholas County.
