Morgantown Police car involved in crash

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Drunk driving charges have been filed against a man in Morgantown who crashed head-on into a city police cruiser early Monday morning.

Jaehyn Cho is being charged with DUI with injury.

According to Morgantown Police, an officer was stopped at a red light around 3:16 a.m. at the intersection of University Avenue and Patteson Drive when another vehicle tried to turn onto University Avenue and crashed head-on into the Morgantown Police cruiser. Officers report Cho was also traveling at an unsafe speed.

The officer involved in the accident was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Cho was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The name of the Morgantown Police Officer involved in the crash has not been identified.
